Bringing a New War

Bringing It Further

Bringing It Further

This post is part of the For the Record series, which suggests new ideas for Achievements.

Right, so it seems my post are going to be a bit more scarce in the upcoming time.

The reason? Well, I suppose Wrath of the Lich King is somewhat to blame (status: my Hunter is currently level 77), but also the fact that coming up with ideas for so many names is a tasking task.

You do however receive a high-quality post, and you do know that quality is better than quantity, right? Right?!

Yes well, that’s my excuse anyways, and that’s what you got.

So, back to topic. I am still working on achievements. This post is number five, in a series that should reach the total of ten posts (10 classes, 10 posts). This time, it is the Warrior that is getting my attention. It is the Warrior that is challenged with various missions, if he wishes to be known as the one that bring forth war, or more simply put, the Warbringer.

I know, some of the ideas are not as original as I would like them to be, but really, it is getting harder and harder to come up with something that is new. This is related to the fact that I have already invented over 50 different achievement, and the innovation pool is running dry.

Yet, somehow, somewhere, within this list, there are some achievements worthy for true Warriors, and come the day they might exist, those fighters will venture forth and try to complete them.

Charging Backwards

September 2, 2008

This post is part of the Escaping the Crowds series, which focuses on escape mechanism for PvP.

Cowardly Leap

Cowardly Charging Away

I believe this is going to be the last post in the series. And what better closure than explaining how the Warrior class can escape? I know, this is rather humorous.

A comic relief to a (I hope not too much) serious series, today I’ll show how Warriors can cower, run away, flee for their lives, and pull back until they receive some reinforcements.

It is a comic topic to discuss because Warriors are probably the last class to need a mechanic for escape. They wear plate, they wield one (sometimes two) fearsome weapons. They’ll charge you down, intercept your escape route, then pummel and strike you to the ground. Usually, they don’t escape, but make you wish you could.

This time, I’ll cater the more sensitive Warriors. Warriors who’d rather charge away from enemies, then charge into their midst.

I can’t promise it will be funny though.

Relentless Chase – Part Two

August 20, 2008
The Chase is On!

It's On!

We’re back, for part two of our Relentless Assault episode.

Yesterday I started an evaluation of how melee classes attempt to stay close to whoever they fancy stabbing, pummeling, shocking, hammering or clawing. I covered Druids, Shamans and Druids. Today is the day of the Rogues and Warriors.

These chaps have not the wits for mana, but they intend to prove that pure rage and energy can make up for it, in some aspects even better.

From poisons to rushes, by shouts and shadows, through unorthodox tricks and crippling attacks, they will do anything to make sure their enemy is buried where he stands.

Now, with no further delay, I will continue.
